Do you notice that the more you rush, the more you make mistake. The more you rush, the more you are late. What's worst is the more you rush, the more you forget things. In a busy world we live in everybody is in a fast phase that is why I admire those people that are always relax and calm. No rushing means no stressing for them. And even when they are late, they still look relaxed, while some who rushed and are late looks so haggard. Lol.

I have a different story, coz I'm much more efficient when I rush things, it fits me. I do my job well when I'm under pressure and my mind is sharp when I'm in a hurry. I'm a certified crammer. :)

My seatmate in class is just like you. She does well when cramming. Haha... Thanks for sharing.

Oh does she? That's nice to know, cause I thought I'm the only one who's comfortable being in a hurry. I think we're only few who supports this kind of attitude. And cramming I think is a curse for a lot of people.

Yes i agree with fellow mylotters, rushing cause wrinkle to form at my face and also cause more harm , like tension and almost heart attack, especially driving will cause accidents to occur, if in kitchen may cause burn tongue or hands.Especially also can elevate tension in and increase in Blood pressure.Personally my rushing is caused by lack of preparation and failure in prioprite what is important and the lack of discipline to follow up the priopriotize job.

I do feel like I am always rushing. There don't seem to be enough hours in the day for me to get things done. Taking a deep breath seems impossible. I have to tell myself to relax and slow down.

That's what I tell myself to. I think it's about time we set our own pace. :)

Oh I've not got a rush in me!!!! I am definatly living life in the slow lane and enjoying every mi ute of it!! I am retired after a hectic and busy working life teaching catering(often to students who didn't want to learn!) so now I'm on a nice slow and steady road, sitting in my garden swimming in the pool, walking in the lovely countryside, reading some great books and basically enjoying life.

We are the same. I always want to do things now, as if there's no tomorrow. Lol. I think it's cool if we can slow down. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi, It is very true. The 'Murphy Law' is in action. When things go wrong, it seems it will be a chain effect. More things will go wrong! Negative elements attracts negative energy. Therefore, to avoid all this, we should plan and stay calm at all times. No tension, we can think better, work better and look better

I hate rushing and cramming. That's the reason I don't waste time and wait for tomorrow for things to be done. I always arrive in the office 15 - 30 minutes before my shift. I wake up 2 hours before my shift to allow more time to travel and prepare for work. It's no longer hard for me to do it because it has become my habit. To make something a habit you have to do it at least 21 times until you get use to it. Whenever I am at work I also don't waste any minute. All tasks I need to accomplish I make sure that I'm ahead of the schedule and deadline to avoid rushing. It's good to finish everything ahead of time so that the rest of my shift I can just have a coffee with my friends and have a good chat with them. I sometimes rush also and it usually happens when I allow my self to get distracted or waste a minute of my time by doing something nonsense over doing more important thing/s. When it happens I don't like it because usually when your start the day rushing you have to rush all throughout the day and it always end up not being able to accomplish all the tasks. That's the reason I learned to be more disciplined and control my desire of resting for a while. When I feel like stopping I always tell my self, "Don't stop. It's better to finish everything ahead of time so that you'll have more time to rest and you'll end the day feeling relaxed.

It always happen to me especially in the morning. When I was working I used to wake up late, and I am really slow in preparing myself. The more I rush myself, the more I'm tensed, the more mistakes I had and the more I became late. I knew that I have to wake up early and move faster but it's just hard for especially if I stay up late at night because I have to take care also of my baby. But even if I don't have a baby yet, I need at least 2hrs of preparing myself. This is really my problem. Well at least now, I'm just at home with my baby. So I don't worry so much of rushing in the morning.

I know rushing is bad it messes up your whole day and causes stress its better to try not to let stuff get to you and make sure you are not like for things so you do not have to rush.

generally speaking i am one of those calm and annoying people who dont rush.... even when i am late, i accept the fact, and if it doesnt let any one down then still do the same things in the morning., always have my breakfast, never skip it, and find that forcing myself into the same routine and not allowing panic, to push me along., i find that i have minutes to spare that rushing around wouldnt make up for... If some one is waiting i call ahead and say i am a little behind and will be delayed, by 10 or 15 minutes, that i am sorry for this, but will be with them as soon as possible... Having learned that rushing only upsets my day., only makes me feel panicky and uncomfortable, and then not quite right for the rest of the day., decided not to be rushed.., by always having enough time to do all that i need to do.. forward planning... in the events of surprises or dleays out of my control., because i am always on time and calm., it is accepted by most that, the delay was out of my control and am always forgiven and understood.. bless xxx

Interesting SMC, Would you rush to your wedding if there was a traffic jam or find a way to stay calm? Are Russians ever rushing around? Some times being a rush and even making mistakes can be good for us because we can snap out of habitual patterns and learn from our mistakes. Perhaps, when we are challenged at a fast pace, we can improve our efficiency, yet as you say maintaining a good attitude is a priceless approach to accepting situations that we cannot change ;) Eric
