if you have watched any episode of the Simpsons, you would have seen how Homer can survive through practically ANYTHING..
he has been dropped, kicked, punched, stabbed, bashed, arms & legs broken, got ran over by a car, a truck and even an elephant, fell from a building, mauled by lions & tigers, had very heavy objects dropped on his head, abducted by aliens...and the list goes on and on...
but each and every single time he gets up and even has a wisecrack to make us laugh at his predicament 
this is one of the toughest dudes around...and he can even deal with the three rascals that he has at home, and not to mentioned his deranged boss at work.. haha..
he is such an inspiration for me

Honestly, if someone did all those things to me, i would be in freaking jail right now.
But, he is an inspiration to all.
We can at least try to live like he does.

I don't get why is that he is your Super Hero. The dropped, kicked , punched and even the stabbed is part of their humour. It is not supposed to be serious, you have to take it on the funnier mode because the Simpson is a comedy program. I do enjoy watching Simpson, Bart is my favorite though, but i will never admire Homer. Hey I am not against Homer, it is just that I don't think I will admire him for being prone to accident and hurt.

hehe...well, he is kind of accident prone and appears to be down on his luck. but the fact that he always gets up for more, and he usually doesn't take no for an answer, and also for his silly wit...that's why he's my hero @sender621 (14894)

I love Homer! He makes watching the Simpsons worthwhile! No matter what anyone did to me, he kept coming back for more.

Peter Griffin is one funny dude too my favorite episode of Family Guy is the one where he turned hi whole house into a puppet to scare away the neighbors..

Hey mario! I do like Homer too! I used to watch "The Simpsons"
on tv when they first came on tv, but that was along time ago!
I got tired of watching after the first few years! Who would
have thought that they would have stayed on that long? They
are very popular here in the US, although I'm not sure that
adults are too thrilled having their kids watching and here
"Bart" is the star! If you like Homer than you are ok with
me!

haha..Bart always manages to drive Homer nuts. i think he got it from his dad and i know that my parents weren't too thrilled by his influence on me

yeah...they really lasted for quite a while now. and i've even heard that there might be another movie.

I am a great fan of Simpsons too, and i like a lot of all Simpsons family. Homer is the one i like most, and i agree with you when you say he is a inspiration in a certain way, cause, like you said, he is always in trouble but he always raise up and try again, never give up of life (even doing a lot of stupid things), and he got a family that loves him, so he is a great inspiration for me. :)

I love the Simpsons, but I am kinda leaning towards Bart with the brains of Lisa, because no matter how great Homer is once you show him a donut he becomes this slobbering drooling zombie that will do just about everything to get that donut. Other than that Homers great being funny and all. ;)
hahaha..donuts are his kryptonite!
