Leading Ladies- Do They All Look The Same?

This morning alone, I've read two articles about how leading ladies in today's Hollywood films all look alike- fair skin, small features, straight hair. Our leading men are coming in different shapes and form (Jonah Hill, Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Adrien Brody and Adam Sandler) but our leading ladies not so much. One article declared that former leading ladies like Barbara Streisand, Marsha Mason and others are no more. Now we have actress like Evan Rachel Wood, Anne Hathaway, Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, Emily Blunt, Natalie Portman and Saoirse Ronan (from Lovely Bones). Do you think Hollywood is looking for leading ladies that fit a particular mold/criteria or have these articles generalized too much and looked passed others.
