My Rice Cooker Died. ;(

Home appliances, equipments and gadgets around us are very helpful, it makes our lives easier. Some just gets broken and can be fixed, others well, not anymore. My Rice Cooker died recently. It's sad. Besides the fact that I need to buy a new one, well there's a lot of fond memories with that one. I have been using my rice cooker for the longest I can remember, I have moved to many places with it, I have used it even in cooking meals when I still can't afford to buy an electric stove. Haha... It served us well. I wonder if anyone of you felt sad when one of your most helpful and useful appliance dies?

Oh, it's sad to hear that. How long has it been used?
My parents cook rice with pressure cooker. They hate the taste of rice from rice cooker because it's a bit hard. They don't accept microwave too. But I don't care, I like rice cooker because of its convenience.

I've used it for more than 17 years, I think. Gosh, that's been long. I haven't bought a new one though, cause it's kinda expensive. I'm still saving up for it. :)

Yes, some appliances are very useful for our daily life because they are convienent for our life. But not all can last or endure a long time.Sometimes they do not work or even die.Of course,for the sake of use,we often get them repaired or mended if they can be done. Otherwise, we have to buy new ones. That is very easy to do that. That's my views. Tks!

Hi santosmarichris, it's really sad if any of our house appliances, equipments as well as the essential gadgets can't work as usual. It's annoying that if everything is ready but it's out of order when it's switched on, like cooking rice, watching the live broadcast, etc. I would feel depressed if the expensive one couldn't be repaired anymore and I have to pay extra money to get a brand new one.
I did come across the same situation the rice cooker with raw rice in it didn't work at the very moment. And all the dishes were readied. I steamed the rice on the stove and fortunate that it tasted delicious as the one prepared in the rice cooker 
But it's really irritating that the air con couldn't serve it purpose at all once when I tried to have a cool and comfortable nap in the scorching sunny afternoon

Sometimes our air con doesn't work well too, specially when it's way too hot. I think it's the climate change. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day!
