Is there one word that you ALWAYS have to spell check?

For the life of me I just CAN'T learn how to spell this one word. Unfortunately it's "unfortunately" (Yes, I just "left clicked" both of those). I've tried reading it repeatedly, writing it repeatedly... it just won't stick!! I can spell supercalafragalisticexpialadocious without trying... what is Unfortunately's issue??? The stubborn thing... Do you have that ONE word that you just CAN'T spell no matter how many times you try? If you've finally learned to handle that word, how did you do it???

Hm, YES! in fact there are few of them. No matter how hard I try to memorize them, they always let me down. They happen to be words that have -ei or -ie combination in them. Example: receive, believe, relieve...etc. I always mix them up, either putting the e or i in the wrong position.

I repeat "i after e except after c" in my head constantly... just like "righty tighty lefty loosey" and a bunch of other annoying rhymes.. lol Thanks for responding!! :)

you're missing a 'k' in 'supercalafragalisticexpialadocious'... you might need to upgrade to the spell check 22.0. i heard that it's 22 times more better than the 1.0 hehe...sorry, couldn't resist

Hi KellyGwen, one of the words that really make me hesitate is 'continous' or is it 'continuos' or 'continuous'? I often stop to think if the 'o' or 'u' comes firts!

It's not spelling so much as typing. My fingers always want to make group "gruop", for example...

Actually, there are a lot of words that I do really need to spell check. These words are scientific. I am not familiar with them but I keep on encountering them everyday in my work. Before uploading my files, I always make sure to spell check.

I have a pretty good command of the English language and spelling is one of my strong suits. I was second in my 5th grade spelling bee. The only problem that I can't seem to be perfect in is whether to use the word affect or effect in a sentence. The meanings are so similar, it's hard to keep them straight and use them appropriately.
