My mind and thoughts are not so clear about PayPal, I have a little amount in my PayPal account, it's small but definitely hard earned, is it really safe there, like in a Bank. I want to make it bigger before i use it, coz i want to buy a gift for my child which is US$295. I dont have any experience with using PayPal, except for receiving our online earnings from Mylot and PTC sites. Should i feel secure with PayPal,have you not experienced any fraud using your PayPal? Can you share some of your PayPal Experience?? thanks

I would call PayPal safer than other places on internet but not as safe as Bank. I have had problems with them such as reversals, limited account access etc, but now everything is fine. I hope you don't have to face any of them as it is so bad if we can't use even our money.

What do you mean by Reversals?

Sometimes payment is reversed and returned back to the sender. Although they also provide some reasons for this but those are just pointless and false reasons.

A friend of mine has regular transactions with eBay since several years and eBay recognises PayPal. She has had absolutely no problems so far.

I have read PayPal and eBay as a team, if we buy an item on eBay and we did not received the good/s, then PayPal will refund the money. How about your experience, have you used your PayPal money?

I have transferred the amount to my bank account here and am waiting for the accounts statement that my bank posts. I anticipate no problem.

i dont link my credit card and bank account with my PayPal account, I think it is a little safer that way, but i must say Paypal is a bit secured except for the hackers.

you wouldnt face any problems with paypal---they would even offer a refund for your if you didnt get hold of the product you paid for---so your money would be safe there.Make sure you shop in good sites---there have been cases where people can be scammed....very much like one lotter who bought a 32 GB pen drive but they have delivered him a stick which shows only 2 GB.great day.

Thanks for sharing, I now believe that if anyone has lost his/her money in PayPal is in one way or another was due to his/her fault, although these are real money in a virtual world i still can't feel the 100% security offered by PayPal.

Hi oldchem1, UK is a safe country, no thieves there I am just curious about Paypal, just in case something happens, I can not talk to the manager, i can not report it to the police, its a road end.

Overall my experience with paypal has been pretty good. Recently someone tried to access my account however but luckily paypal was able to recognize that it wasn't me trying to access my account and I didn't lose any funds out of there. I think that if you are worried about fraud chances are that paypal will be able to limit your account before whichever hacker is trying to take your funds. Overall it's a pretty good pay site but if you don't like paypal I'm sure you could also try alertpay or libertyreserve. There are plenty of sites out there that pay through all sorts of different payment mediums.

I feel safe using PayPal. All of my experiences have been favourable. I've seen a lot of fraud though. Sometimes I get fraud email that give me a salutation of "Dear customer." The salutation should ALWAYS have your name. If Paypal can't write your name, then it's not Paypal.

In my case, I already use Paypal during several years now and I only had once a minor problem: Paypal refunded the money I recieved from a buyer and the reason they gave me to take this decision, when I asked them, was that the money the buyer used was not his own money. The credit card the buyer used to pay me might be a stolen card, so they made their own investigation. In my case as a seller I was at that time, I didn't want to loose muy money, of course. But on the other way, when you think about that users are not able to do any fraudulant action using Paypal, so yes, Paypal is very safe. That means for example that it is difficult for other users to use your money as it is investigated buy them and your money will be returned to you if another member tries to quit it. So until now your money is save and at the moment, I am really happy with the service Paypal is offering to his members.

So PayPal is very honest, they are unique, It seems better if we compare them to most banks. Every transaction is uniquely investigated. I am at ease now, knowing my lot earnings are kept well in PayPal's vault.

I have had my Paypal account for more than 6 years now and never faced any problem. You are wrong that there would be nothing you can do about Paypal. When Paypal opens business in any country, they would have to obey that country's laws and regulations. You can either email them or call them.

PayPal is safe unless you give your details to someone else, so don't do that! I have never had any problems with PayPal, quite the contrary actually, they always helped me out in many ways.
