Large or Small parties?

Some people like going to large parties where there are many people they donot know. Others prefer small parties with a few close friends. Which type of party do you prefer and why?
Both kinds of parties have their benefits. From large parties, people can widen their horizon and open the mind through getting in touch with strangers. Curiosity in new field will inject engery into our lives. From small parties where only close friends are taking part in, it is more likely to share common topics and know each other more deeply. I like both kinds of these parties.

I personally like attending to small parties where I find it relatively comfortable to interact more closely with others. Though large parties have certain benefits in terms of widening one's circle of relationship, I somehow like to have more intimate time with closer friends and relatives in a small party. It all depends on the type and profile of the participants in the party. Thanks.
