Stereotypes

Where did stereotypes originate? It really has me wondering because everything has changed and evolved from something or somewhere (not talking about humans).. so when did stereotyping begin?

what do you mean by not talking about humans do you mean something like classification of animals or species? Well, in humans stereotypes originated from white people. Back when slavery was prominent here in the United States, the White folks believe that Black people are inferior to them and used them as slaves. I think it started from there. You have to clarify your question for me i 'm not sure what I'm answering to

By that i mean the whole issue over God vs Evolution. I mean i am talking about humans just not saying that humans evolved from apes or whatever the evolution theories are . . Like what period in time did women and men having certain roles in the world begin such as woman were suppose to stay home, be classy, etc.. and men were suppose to provide, be strong, etc.. and things along that nature
