I just graduated last March 2009 and up until now it is very hard to look for a job! I am from the medical field but then, hospitals now are so strict you can not just be given work pronto. Sometimes I think maybe I jinx the hiring days because whenever I knew that this establishment is hiring, it's already too late. UGH. :\ No matter, I just have to be more vigilant and be updated.

I think you are not alone. There's alot of our fresh graduate nowadays longing to find a decent job that can sustain their daily needs. We want to be independent with our parents after we finished but sometimes we find it hard and maybe we think to give up. In my case it happen opposite because before I finished my college the job is waiting so I was afraid at the time, what if I lack one subject and can't graduate my course. I felt very nervous so I finally felt relieve 2 days before our graduation day because I am on the list of graduates already. I was called by my employer March 25 and our graduation day was April 01. I am very happy at that time because it means I won't waste time and effort to apply for a job. I started my work 7days after my graduation. In your case if you are willing to wait, just wait there's something for you that you did not expected. Only thing you do don't give up, if there's an opportunity apply on it either you will hired or not. it will add your confidence to interact with different employers.

Just apply to any establishments even if they are not looking so that they will put your name on their database of applicants. That is what I used to do when I was looking for work, if I want to work for that kins of company, I submit my resume even if I knew they weren't hiring. But after a few months of waiting, they called me up for an interview. That way it will increase your chances to land a job.

I also graduated last March 2009 but I do have a freelance job. Wherein I was part of a events group. Actually I was working with them since I was 2nd year college but only inside the university. Then when we are 4th year college already we started to work with them even outside university events. And right after graduation we continue to work with them. But it is only project based. So there are months that we don't have events. That's why now I look also for a regular job at least. Currently I'm a trainee in a company. :) You really have to be patient when looking for a job. I also experience what you experience. Nowadays its not that easy to find a job that we want.

if you dont want to be a bum anymore... and you know you can speak and write english, then why dont why apply in a call center?.. there are a lot of BPO's in the phil... the salary is way better than working in a hospital.. i have known a lot of registered nurse working in BPOs... plus it doesnt matter whatever course you took in college... then, probably you can just resign if you have found your dream job already..
