why do people vote for dishonest politician?

I was once asked to register to vote and the person said that by me registering to vote it could make a difference. Well my response to them was the day when I see that there is an honest politician thats when I will vote.
So my question is why do people vote for dishonest politicians?
Why do they vote for greedy,lieing,scamming politicians?
And whats worst is they know this to be true.
Can somebody please tell me why?

In my opinion, some people who are qualified voters never intend to vote for dishonest politician.most of them, they vote for the politician that for them is truthful and good yet the fact that they dont know that certain politician personally makes a difference of course. they vote according to what they believe. and with it, they believe that the person they vote is someone deserving enough to be elected. anyhow, there are factors that can't be avoided like, the vote buying, that is more rampant in the areas where the people are really poor and that the candidate isnt not that important but the money that certain candidate can offer during the election day as for those kind of people, what is more important is what to fill their tummy for that day and not what would that certain politician bring or do the next day..

So what I think your saying jhudy is that people vote blindly because every time
A politician gets elected they start of acting as if they are going to do as promised and end up doing just the oppesite.
And as you your self said(what is more important is what to fill their tummy for the day)to me that means their out for them selfs and not the people they claim to serve.
