Have You Ever Had to Stay in the Hospital?

Yes, I've been in the hospital several times. The first was when I was 5. Although I don't have a lot of memories from that period in my life, I can still see myself standing in a dark crib crying for my mother. They didn't let parents stay in the hospital with children back then. I was in the hospital 3 days when I had my daughter. Prior to having my son I was hospitalized several times. He was placenta previa which meant that from 22 weeks on I kept hemorraging. I was in for 5 days after my c-section. The last time I was in the hospital was in 2002 when I had pushed myself too hard and long at my new job, and I ended up being put in with double pneumonia. It was not a pleasant experience at all, and I'm hoping I never have to be in a hospital again.

I always stay at the hospital for 8 hours a day and sometimes 16 hours a day. It is where I work. Im a nurse. :-)

Beside giving birth to my two kids. i was warded for dengue fever (very painful sickness)and operated to removed my tonsil. Boring staying in Hospital

When I had my daughter we were in the hospital for 12 days because she was born early, then she developed yellow jaundice. She had to reach 5 lbs before we could leave, or close to it. She only got to 4 lbs 14 oz. then we went home. Then, when she was 6 months old, we were both hospitalized with pneumonia!

I have had to stay in the hospital many times. I have had numerous operations and then I had a problem where I could not swallow and I was hosopitalized for almost 2 weeks. Then 4 days after getting out I was hospitalized again for a heart problem which turned out to be nothing! I am so sick of hospitals its ridiculous! LOL My last hospital stay was almost like a luxury hotel I could order any food I want, I had cable television and my room was private!

Once when I was a child, but I was told about it by my mom and older siblings, so I don't remember. As an adult, I stayed in the hospital because I had a tumor removed that was in the area of my stomach, it just turned out to be fatty tissue and one other time I stayed in the hospital for five days because I had my gall bladder removed. I'd rather not go back again. lol I did stay in the hospital two other times when my two sons were born, however, but that was so long ago, I almost forgot. (almost 35 years ago and 30 years ago) That makes 5 times, but I've heard of other people that had a lot more times and worse situations so I guess I'm pretty lucky.
