Changing for the Better

If you could change one thing in your life that would improve your current situation right now, what change would it be? It can be a decision, a career choice, a health lifestyle, the school you study at. Mine would be my eating habits. I had poor eating habits for almost 3 years right now. I have also stopped exercising. Before,my waistline was 24, now it is near 29. I am also having problems with my respiratory system. If I could have just sticked to my diet and my exercise routine before, I would look better and even feel better today.

If there's one thing I could change, it would be my very sensitive skin. I tend to break out whenever I am stressed. Unfortunately I have a very stressful job and profession. I am a confident person but sometimes, I feel insecure whenever I have blemishes on my skin. Sometimes, I feel that there would be more opportunities for me if my skin would clear up. :(

I figure that if I had never started worrying about my weight, I might not be nearly 40 pounds overweight. I am just about the only nearly skinny person in my immediate family. My dad has been big ever since I can remember, my mom has been on diets since my little sister was born, trying to lose all the weight from having three kids... I just worry about my weight so much, that I end up making myself weigh MORE because when I worry, I turn to my comfort foods. It is just so hard NOT to worry about it, though. So, if I had never started worrying about my size, I probably would not be as chubby as I am now.

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would change my habits and lifestyle after I graduated. I hopped from one job to another and did not work hard. I even stopped working for several years and just stayed home. I wasn't able to save money from my work when I was newly graduate. I really regret those time. If only I was hardworking that time, my own family now will not be suffering from debts.

If I could go back, I would start to learn programming from my aunt gave me the install disk of Visual Basic. At that time I was too young, Grade 3 or 4 in primary school. I knew playing computer games only. So I shelved the disc and forgot it. I didn't know how important it was and didn't have the foresight to predict computers could be so widely used after ten years. When I want to study programming now, I'm too busy with my master degree and have little time to write program. I regret so much now, whenever I recollect my aunt had given me such a useful thing.

I had a roommate in college. She was an extremely dedicated student, and during the whole year that I stayed with her, I was a very dedicated student. She was a very nice person, but very moody and a little annoying. After one year, I changed roommates. If I could, I'd undo that. I feel that if I had still been friends with her, I'd be 10 times more focussed and serious about my career and excelling in what I do, than how much I am now... This is for you P***. I wish we'd still been close friends...

I think we all have the chance to change for the better and I would like to change my attitudes towards my failures in life, I am always frustrated when I look at my failures and I think I must forget them to be able to think for a better future.

There is no doubt what so ever with me - I would change my bank balance!! If I could ensure that I and my family were financially secure ( not rich just enough that all our bills can be paid and we have a little left over to enjoy life) I would be a very happy woman!! I would love to be in a position to help out all my kids and to know that they were all settled financially.
