older children sometimes think Mum was born middle aged

When my children were teenagers they all came out with the same excuses and I am sure they thought all these excuses were new that they only had thought up.
You know the type of thing "everyones going/doing/got it" or so and so was standing next to me smoking thats why I smell as if Ive been smoking or we all left our watches at home.
Do you think the same?

My kids are young yet but I have thought the same thing when I was a teenager. I didn't realize my parents have done the same things! Now of course I do but not then. I know my children will do the same things also. It already kind of is happening with little things like they play with something I told them not to and they'll say well, this one was playing with it and they said I could too. Of course my response is, I don't care who told you to do what I said no!
I know they will go through that phase also =)
