When Will Theatres Offer Healthy Alternatives to Popcorn?

I know how tasty movie theatre popcorn can be, but when are patrons going to have the option of something healthier? Many people would enjoy a snack as they watched the film, but don't want the fat, calories, or salt contained in movie popcorn. I admitt I'm not sure what healthy choices would be viable, but maybe a start would be an alternate version of popcorn, a version that contains less butter and salt. No need to go broke and grow unhealthy at the same time.

yes i am also wondering about this one. In our theaters, they sell popcorn and sweets and nothing else. But i dont know if there is some food out there that is appropriate for watching movies and healthy. Maybe vegetable popcorn? lol

Yes, hard to figure out good healthy alternatives. They could at least start with "better popcorn" less butter and salt, and fat free candy. Of course we could always get nothing, but what fun is that?

Hi, vmenard. I agree that movie theatres should start offering popcorn that is very healthy. I don't know why they choose to load people up with fat and salt. All that they are going to do is sit and relax on this junk on their stomachs. I say that healthier snacks would be perfect. They have crisp chips that are baked. This could be an option. And they should have more fat free and sugar free candies too. I love eating healthy and I think that these foods should be included into the daily menu at an movie theatre.

Yes fat free candy would be a better alternative. Also baked crisp chips would be perfect. I know some people will always prefer the "naughty" food, but others should be given options.
