It's nice to see the television landscape full of women, who happen to be over 30 years old. Some of the best shows on television today feature strong female lead characters. Saving Grace which ended this year featured the talented Holly Hunter. Hawthorne stars Jada Pinkett Smith, the Closer Kyra Sedgwick, and Nurse Jackie, Edie Falco. In a profession often ready to dispose of aging actresses, it's nice to see older women get the chance to shine.
