According to Wikipedia, the second largest distinct sub-movement in the Catholic church with 120 million members is the charismatic movement both in the Philippines and the US and Latin America. This charismatic movement is characterized by the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the speaking in tongues or other languages. Just wondering is anyone a part of this movement in the Catholic church and what it is like.

Yes, as Charismatic Catholics we don't believe in leaving our religion or sect behind to be in the renewal. Like Protestants, we also sing praises to God, have bible studies, share our ups and downs with our caring group and so many other things that former Catholics failed to see before they left the church. If you are in the Philippines, I recommend that you check out The Feast. There must one near you where you can attend. Just search it in the web coz I don't want to add a link to this. I'm sure you'll like it there. :-)

A few of my aunts are members of charismatic group in our church, they have several prayer meetings in a week. They also serve during the mass and participate in pre-marriage counseling seminar as speakers, especially those married couples who are members of charismatic group. Those are the things I noticed about the activities of the charismatic group.
