6 months has past after my last hair rebond and now my hair looks dull and ugly again. I can see the curl at the top of my head. Is there such a thing as permanent straight? I wanted to have a hair reborn before rebonding.

I got tired of that problem too that's why i had my hair permed. I like my curly hair now better because it is easier to manage and my friend told me that it looks good on me. Now, i put less chemicals on my hair and it has less hair fall than before.

Hi Mspitot, Any strong chemicals can damage our curly hair. everytime i wish for a rebond and reqest the salon staff to assess my hair, they used to discourage me to do a rebond. they appreciate my hair. It's fine, brown colored antural curly hair. So, i ended up just having a treatment and if i want it straight they ironed it with treatment.

Hair fall is one of my problem too. Did you curl your hair back or just let it to be curl again?

you better have hair treatment friend to avoid further damaged of your hair. after that iron thing with my hair, i just enjoy it for two-three days then, it's back to its normal curly hair. maybe you can rest from having rebond for the meantime to treat your hair first to recover before another strong chemicals for the rebond. anyway, whatever advise the expert will give just follow it! again, goodluck!

Hi Laniekins!. My best friend had a really curly hair too and she is regularly rebonding it and its take hours to get it straight again and that can be really boring time but he have to face it to get straight hair. To be honest I like her hair especially when she had it long she will look like Barbie doll because she had brown hair and white skin.

Well, it depends on hair type. I don't know but I saw my toddler pics and I can see I have a thin brownish straight hair. Until on my elementary, my sister at law fond of curling and cutting my hair. When I was in high school my hair gets permanently curly/wavy, I guess the chemicals ruin my hair.. I just can't let it flow, its so ugly looking, I need the help of hair band and pony tail.

As long as your hair keeps growing and your natural texture is curly or wavy, you will never have a permanent straight look - not without a lot of time and money anyhow. Most people who don't like their natural texture don't realize that what they see is simply the stressed, damaged version of their texture. I had a relaxer for most of my life to keep my kinky hair straight, and when I started to let my real hair grow out, I thought it was horrible. It didn't start to look healthy and lovely until I got rid of all the damaged bits. You could try giving your hair a year or two to recover before doing a permanent treatment, pampering it for those two years. Then see if you still hate it. From your pic, it seems like you would be gorgeous with a nice wavy curl. But that's jmho. Blessed Be

Try a very simple routine while your hair is healing, like a loose braid. If you work with your texture, it shouldn't need to be "tamed". When mine was growing out, before I cut it, I had no idea what to do with it, lol. Turns out, there are a lot of braided styles that are super-cute and easy to do quickly. Plus, they keep your hair from breaking as much. Blessed Be

Yeah, I've notice that my hair is so damaged, got falling hair too. I will try not to have my hair rebond this year but rather have a hair reborn (treatment). I really don't like my natural hair, it takes time to tame it which is not suit for my busy time cause I'm working.

Hi Laniekins, I have a long natural curly hair. The last pampering session I had with my hair was last February 2010. I am supposed to have it rebounded but I changed my mind. I just content myself with hair treatment and had it ironed to experience a straight one. It helps a lot. Now, there’s no more dullness and dryness in my hair and no worries about having another rebond. That’s what I don’t want to happen with my hair. If reborn will help before another rebond, then go for it. You can ask the salon if there’s a need for a treatment first so that those split ends and dryness will be treated! goodluck.

Ok, I think you got great curly hair while mine is a nightmare. I am tired of ironing my hair cause it takes more than an hour to fix it and it will only last for few hours.

Thanks, I've asked one of Ricky Reyes Salon and they recommend that I should undergo hair reborn before rebonding but since my money is for hair rebond, I chose to rebond my hair. Is constant hair ironing bad for the hair? I've had my hair iron constantly and it makes my hair dry and weak. I wonder is there is a way to permanently straighten my hair.

How is it possible dear? You mean hair should not grow? When the hair grows, it does not know that the rest of the portion is straightend and accordingly initially it should grow straight. The growth process will take place only as per your heriditary way, ie, the way how it was originally grwon. If an old man do a dying the gray hair fully, and after 15 dyas he is not done the process agian, the colour of the hair will be black and white. The hair nature for you also will be the same. The new hair will start growing as curly only. So you need to do again and again for long time to get the required shape. Regard, Thank-s

yeah, I guess I have to live with that. But I saw my baby pics and my hair so sweet straight. I guess it started to get curl and dry when my sister-in-law permanently curl my hair. She does that many times, probably the chemicals ruin my hair.

Hi dear, Any artificual chemical activation on hair will affect the head as well as hair badly after some time. Initially, at times we will not realise the impact. But, as and when time passes and constant hair conditionings will badly affect later states. So please avoid unwanted treatement to hair. If possible, change the hair style or something like that will help in adjusting the hair problems. Regards, Thank-s

Hair rebond is not really permanent, they said that you should also consider and spend money for its maintenance. My sister wanted to be rebonded too but I explained that it's not that permanent.

There is no such thing like permanent straight. If you want your curly hair straight you would need to visit your hair dresser soon as the roots are growing.Or they would grow and they would look ugly. What's wrong with curly hair? I guess you just need to perm it really well by a good hair dresser and you can have sexy curls that could be the envy of everyone. I tell you that you would be just spending a lot of money trying to straighten your hair but you would have to go back to the salon again to do touch ups because that is your natural hair. But if you have a lot of money then why not if it makes you happy?

My hair is so dry and its ugly when its curly, curly hair is good when it has a good curl. Mine is like a wavy and no direction so I can't flaunt it. I hate it when I wear it without pony tail and the air is so strong, I look like a monster. I guess you know the type of Filipina curly hair, some only are blessed and other are cursed, well I fall into curse. It doesn't fit my busy lifestyle and I I wear a pony tail, it makes me dizzy the whole day. I want my hair wash and wear type. Anyways I think I'll go for treatment or hair reborn first.
