what would you do if your co-worker is too slow while and working? would you tell him upfront? what if he is your superior? while writing this topic, im actually at my work. im waiting for my superior to finish her work so i could do mine. it always took her 45 minutes to finish a 15 minute range task... i really don't know how to tell it to her that she needs to work fast. almost everyday we finished 10 while others got 20 or 30...

Yeah that is a tough one to handle. I have been in this type of situation and it is not fun. What worked for me would be to ask if you could do it next time, and or suggest some short cuts. Although the co-worker may be a bit defensive but kind of do it a way where it would benefit the both of you. Your co-worker may then pick up the pace or be upset. If all else fails you will need to go to your superior and explain that it is not that you are complaining but you feel production would be best handled if you could be switched with someone else or something like that.

Well the bad news is, you cant tell your superior that he/she is working too slow. Or else you might work more. That is just the life as a subordinate.

I would explain that slowness slows down the entire process, and that this is not a personal comment. If I were the one being slow, others would be within their rights to point it out to me, in order to keep the office running efficiently. I would be discreet about it, not pointing this out infront of a lot of people. I would do it privately.

You should approach the matter with concern not ridicule. Ask her what she needs help with first, to really not give her the option. If you ask if she needs helps automagically she'll say no. If she says no, tell her you need to get to your stuff so helping may be a benefit for you both. Hopes this helps goodluck.

the truth is some people will just work at slower pace then other, for example at my school job we make sandwhiches at a campus reasturant and the student lead who i always have the pleasure of working with is always and i mean always at this turtle speed. this is not a problem most of the time, but when we get busy for lunch and its only us two doing about 150 orders an hour it gets very upsetting.
