Medical Marijuana good or bad?

I just was wondering as a whole where this stands with different parts of the world. Personally i am for it, after reading reviews by the UK government, saying its good then saying its bad and to top it all of then the scientist in charge of the classification of drugs in the UK says its harmless if used in low dosages then gets fired by the UK government for not saying what they want to hear. Its a shame but i was just curious as to the worlds general view on it. I would be grateful if you just included in your post the country you are from :)
