President Obama says the BCS should be changed. Should it? Football programs jockeied for position and power this summer until Texas finally decided to stay put. This is too much power for the major programs to have and it disrupts the whole scope of college sports. An agreed playoff system may be better. In pro football watch the resurgence of the New England Patriots and the return of the Bears.

No X I am not advocating that the government get invovled at all in sports However Im asking could a more balanced system be generated by the NCAA because it is supposed to be set up as what is best for students and big colleges drowning out small colleges with no pay for the students who generate the income seems unfair. If the big colleges are getting all this income from great sports contracts and big games it seems they should let that money trickle down to the smaller colleges in their state.

OOOh...ok. Well, I'm afraid your way over my head on this one, I don't know an awful lot about sports in general. When other kids in school were playing football baseball or basketball, i was busy learning the finer riffing techniques of Inngyve Malmstine and Eddy VanHalen and learning how to blow things up in the back yard....lol.

i have always been a strong believer that sports should not be politically interfered with no matter what the intentions are. but i tend to think that some of the conferences in college football are not competetitive because all the big teams play in a few conferences. i suggest that conferences should be similar to those like in the NBA. i also think that the football season is way to short. how can we justify paying millions to NFL players who only play 15 games in a season? all the teams should play each other home and away like in the NBA. go TEXANS!!!!
