Tips for selling on ebay?

So I tried to sell some things on ebay. I made a little bit of cash but not much. Most of the items I am trying to sell are not selling. I don't want to buy something that expensive because I am kind of broke. I got tired of trying to make money online the way I usually do. Don't get me wrong, I love mylot and I could always use the extra cash I make online. Although it can be time consuming and sometimes aggravating. So I figured I would try and sell some items on ebay. I thought of a good idea. With Christmas a few months away, I will buy items to sell. If those items don't sell then I can give them to people as gifts on Christmas or upcoming birthdays. The problem is that a few of the items I bought to sell are not selling and I don't know that I want to give them to anyone as a gift. So does anyone have any tips for me about selling on ebay? What are good products to buy and sell on ebay to make a profit?
