I used to work for a company that sold cell phones. I still have few friends who work in the same place I used to work in. I've tried all 3 different versions of I-phones & that's one of the reasons that turned me away from AT&T. When I tried first I-Phone, I thought ok, there are bound to be some bugs with first anything. Calls kept dropping & didn't like the way the phone felt in my hand. When I-phone 3G came out, it was no different. Data side of it was faster but that was about the extent of it. By the time I tried 3GS, I thought it has gotten little better but not by much. Most of the apps that they are so proud of, I really didn't need. At first, I thought it was the network but I was standing right next to my co-worker that had simple flip phone from AT&T & his phone was working fine, even watered down, simplified version of internet on his phone worked fine. I'm sure they've improved a lot since then. I do use my cell phone for work reasons as well as personal reasons. It's not that I was looking for just a toy. I used to travel a lot & i-phones just didn't cut it for me. I'm not saying all the other phones were all that much better but for the money I was paying to use i-phone, I didn't see the value behind it. Now that I'm settled, I have a simple phone with t-mobile & I'm pretty happy with it. And again, I'm sure it has gotten better but for the time I've used i-phones, not only did they (3 versions of i-phones) not live up to all the talks but it actually left a bad taste about AT&T.

My daughter has the HTC Eris, and she says that it looks pretty much like the Iphone, and it is powered by Android. She really likes it. I have seen what the phone looks like at Verizon, but I have never owned one or used one either. I have a Samsung Omnia 2, which is nothing like an Iphone, but I do like it just the same. Mine is a smartphone and a windows mobile phone. Mine is also a touchscreen phone, and so is the HTC Eris that my daughter has. Take care, and have a very good day.

No, my I-Phone has been working fine. I may have received one or two errors, but those were my fault. I also tried the I-Pad, and my recommendations for it is that you shouldn't buy it. A I-Phone could do what a I-Pad could do, and a I-Pad can't even call!

Yes, android phones will become the hottest phones. I have read in some articles that the android market continues to grow and gain more subscribers. And i think this will evolve the next generation gadgets.
