Converting RAM into a Graphic card?.....that's so funny my dear!!! A Graphic card has a dedicated 'graphic processing unit' in short GPU.And as far as RAM is concerned they have memory modules which store data and don't process anything. So is it that you could convert RAM into a Graphic card?.......... Or is it that you are increasing the memory of a Graphic card by installing more RAM.......... Please explain the whole process of conversion of RAM into a Graphic card.....

Hi friend, Even I was in agreement until I have read an article about the same. It is virtual graphic card that really exits and helpful in playing some of those games that requires extra Graphic card. Only fast video card is needed for that. You can Play latest Games without Graphic Cards. Try googling for "3danalzer" software, you get a lot of material on same topic. " 3danalyzer" is a software that is used to do it so...

Maybe you mean you will be using some part of your ram as video ram? Vista does it automatically. For example I have a 2 gig ram on my system and a 512mb video ram. Vista automatically puts 512mb of my system ram to video ram, making my video ram 1g. Funny I was trying to do the opposite some months ago. Claiming back that 512mb from the v/ram to my system ram. but I can't find any solutions.

Hello nitish, I have heard of using a pendrive as an additional RAM but never heard of converting RAM into graphics card.See RAM and Graphics card have all together different hardware design, the way i think this cannot be done for sure.Yes thats true that during installation of any operating system we need to give some graphics memory to it,may be you are talking about that.Happy Mylotting

I don't know about effects, but it will be helpful only if your video card can run fast, supports everything that the game needs and just the textures are bigger (in HD for example //1080p//) and you need more video memory. All the newer cards (and most of the old) have enough memory for their speed and features, so I think it will be useless to make that thing...

hi friend, You might know about battery booster for laptops which doubles our laptop battery backups, but these are the things that only glitters from outside but all in all they harm your system. I thought same is the case with RAM utilization as graphics card.

I have read the article regarding 3danalyzer. as they have claimed it is possible to use your memory as a virtual graphics card with their program. Heres the deal. You still need a graphics card installed in your computer cause you need to connect your monitor for you to be able to use it. The program is designed to boost your computer graphics performance by emulating a 3d graphics card. 3D analyzer was created and refined to overcome limitations posed by modern 3D games and other Applications on several current mainstream 3D cards. So if you have a system with a large memory say for example 2GB and you have a low tech graphics card installed you can use this program to enhance your system. This is only for those user who uses programs that require high graphic performance such as 3d video games, HD photo/video editing.
