Do you thinks guys can cook better then girls?

Hello welcome to mylot I don't agree that guys are better, in my country cooking in homes are done my women , my wife and daughter in laws do that But here too in hotels and restaurants male chefs work, may be there is shortage of lady chefs.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

Hi, I don't say guys can cook better than women. But Frankly speaking,most of the chef in restaurant are guys.Does it means they cook better than women? From my understanding, a woman can be a chef too,if she has show an interest in cooking. ANd she definitely can be a good chef too. I love cooking,but I still have lot more to learn in cooking. So far, I only cook simple dishes for my family.So far so good....

I really don't know the answer to that because sometimes when my husband cooks I will beg him to cook again because he is an excellent cook!!But I know some women that can cook really good too. So I would say maybe the men and women cooks are even?

People can say here all what they want about this, but yes guys are cook better. I am a boy and I love cooking where I live there is many popular male cooks and I have been in several restaurants where cooks is males. yes i do think boys can cook better than girls.though not always the same case.but in almost most of the hotels the main chef is a man.but when the chef goes home he would probably ask his wife to cook.lol.

In my opinion, guys are better cook than women. I'm no science expert, but I think it's because of the difference in our taste buds. They say that women have more tastes buds than men, but more doesn't actually men better. I guess, men got the better taste buds or the better combination that is.

I have noticed that one too. I think in a more formal setting like restaurants and all that, males are always the good cooks. I think they are more patient and more creative. But when it comes to households, women are the cooks cause I think they have more time to do it.

You are correct. Speacily for occations. But at home, home makers cokk with love. males cook with tallent.

I don't know if I should join in this discussion - my blood pressure is only just going down after the women driver discussion!! I think that - like driving - there are good and bad in both sexes. I am a trained chef and taught catering and have to say that the girl students were always the best and wanted to learn more, but generally the better known chef's are men. I would say that it's 50/50

It is a interesting point you have noted and i also wonder sometimes that why most of the chefs are male while every woman cooks in her home. But it doesn't necessarily means that guys are better cook than girls for example i am a horrible cook. My aunty is terrific in cooking and everytime i visit her she comes up with some delicious recipes.

As for me,the ability to cook doesn't rely on the gender. It doesn't really matter if it's a boy or a girl but the willingness or the passion of the person for cooking.
