I think I will miss the food too. When I was in college, I missed Balinese culinary since in Yogyakarta, I was not enjoy the taste of the food. I didn't miss my parent too much since I make my new family in Yogyakarta. I have many new friends and the are like my family. I can't imagine if I was in a broad. Perhaps, I won't miss anything if I bring my wife and children together with me. I won't miss them and we can cooked our own food. However, I don't want and it's impossible to go out from Bali.

Thats really smart move my friend by taking your family you wont miss the food my friend because your lovely wife can cook for you. But my friend who live abroad tell me that its really hard sometimes to find the ingredient to make traditional food especially Balinese food that use many fresh herb and leaves also its really expensive to buy there and the taste not the same.

Yeah, you are right. Abroad is not like in Indonesia. There are many differences especially in seasonings. Deep in my heart, I don't want go abroad, even I don't want to leave Bali. Well, I think I won't go and stay any where else since I am one off staff in local government office. There is no chance for me to move to others places in Indonesia.

I would probably prefer to be away from family, because I would feel alone and without a load. I like this, not because I do not care about my family, but maybe I will not trouble them while I was abroad. But, surely I will miss all my family.

Hi Peremahan! Why do you use that username, I am a little curious with your name?. One of my best friend have a problem with his family and he tray to make distance with them by living in others city. She wanna to missed by her family but its seem her family not react the way he want. He feel lonely in that city and he hate every minute he spend there because she feel trap there. I believe its better to talk to your family about your feeling and thats will give better result than go way from them. Its just suggestion my friend because I believe what ever burden your family put in you they still love you. Thanks....

Yeah Ifa family will be what we feel really missing and also the ambiance because we life in very warm neighborhood and its will really hard to move to individualistic neighborhood. I hear that if you meet Indonesian abroad you will easily make friend with them, you can search them in the internet or asking the embassy. I believe when we sick its the hard part because thats the time we feel really home sick and miss home very much. Thanks four your kind response and have a nice day.

Of course I will really miss my family and all of Indonesia. Although much beauty in other countries, but would be more fun in their own country. I definitely want to go home to Indonesia when I was overseas with no relatives and friends.

Hi, I am living in abroad since I graduated from Senior High School. Once a year, I will going back to Indonesia for holiday. Of course, I miss my family, miss the Indonesian food alot. I still remember well when I was pregnant, I miss Lontong sayur alot. and I can't find this dish here. everytime when I travel back to Indonesia, I will take some Indonesia goodies back,at least I still can eat here. I even packed some curry and rendang paste from my hometown, freeze them and I will use them whenever I feel like eating curry or rendang. Of course, I can easily get those ready-packed curry or rendang paste in Malaysia, but the taste is different and I still prefer those from my hometown. I have get used to stay abroad and everytime when I got my air ticket to travel back to my country, I can't wait for the Big day to come. Getting excited to meet my family members and friends down there.
