The worst place you ever traveled to was what? Why was it the worst place you traveled? The worst place I traveled to was to NJ. IT was a totally bad experience. It was ok the first 2 months. Then, things starting going down hill. The cost of living outrageous. For one room studio for the month 1000.00, just one room. I pay $200 monthly for a very nice sized cottage. It's one bedroom but is has a very large living room and a kitchen, hallway porch and lower level.

hey hey thats my state, but your right, and thats why i moved to florida in 98 the property taxes were out of site, the traffic is always backed up, the roads are dirty with garbage and for that 1000 dollars a month you can get a 3000 square foot home to rent in floridas west coast. in fact i meet my brother in aruba yearly rather than to go back to jersey.

So, how is it that you left NJ? I had a friend who was from ny or nj.. she seemed to have passed away in her 50's ..She too had moved to FLorida and then to Georgia where due to some back injury she went to a rest home. I can't believe people rush to NY and NJ to inhaled the smog of thousands of vehicles. What I noticed is there are no trees hardly or grass..very little Lots of building and concrete, parking meters and high priced car insurance!! People like the rat Race. I found out I did not!

i lived in north east jersey for 48 years in a small town on the n.y. state border, but once you got out of town the traffic was lined up for 40 plus miles from traffic going into new your city, bumper to bumper. i came to florida for a few months in 98 caught a lot of fish in the gulf of mexico and never went back to jersey, sold the house and here i am 12 years later in florida. the town i live in now bangs up at 9 pm except wal-mart, no traffic and great fishing in my back yard. but i must admit it took years before i lost that go go go rush rush rush thing from jersey finally im relaxed and lovin it.

Thats wonderful Garrett what about NJ . were you ever there.. Nice place with lots of buildings and hotels... I am a country girl at heart so find that buildings without grass or trees is pretty dull. Cornfields can be super beautiful..

As you said about the worst place I ever traveled to to live, was Nashville, TN. When I went there, it took me quite a few weeks to find any place to live, I worked in an office, and the lady in the office told me about this "older" lady who needed someone to stay with her at night, she had an up stairs apartment for me to rent. She was chargine me l00.00 per week to even stay with her. This was about l5 miles away from where I worked, and when I moved in with her, I carried her to all kinds of places she needed to go, but when I decided to come back to my own home town, I asked her if I could wash a small load of clothes before I came home, she said no we've already washed once this week and there will be no more washing this week. So I just simply said, ok when I come back on Sunday I'm going to bring my computer, but I need a phone line up stairs, she said no way. her son told me to go on and he would put the phone line up there when I got back it would be ok. But when I came back, she said you will have to pay 125.00 per week and you can't bring the computer in the house, so I just left, I called her son and told him what had happened, he said I can't believe this, I thought I had it straightened out, but guess I didn't. I thanked him and finally found an apartment in a church tower building, but still had to pay over 550.00 per month. So I finally moved back to my own little mobile home I'd bought while I was up there and had set up on my land.

Ruby.. hearing that come from you is super surprising After all isn't Tennesse "close" to where you are...LOL When I think of the rent I had to pay in NJ.. 1000 / a month for just one room..geesh.. anything is cheap Ah praise God for the slower more economical living way of life that is found in wv and some portions of tennesse and other less famous cities;)

The worst place I had been to is Medan in Sumatra in Indonesia. It was dirty, noisy and smelly. It was wonderful to leave it and travel up to the peaceful village close to where I saw the wild orangutans. Accommodation there was very cheap. I paid about $2 a night for a double room.
