Do you know crocheting?

Crocheting was introduced to me when I was in elementary years. Though I have books at that time that contains the different stitches, I was able to learn more through practice with the help of my mother. I was able to invent my own pattern because creations and patterns are endless like there are no boundaries. Along with this rare skill in our country, I was always being noticed whenever people see me doing crocheting. They feel like its just a past time for grandmothers or old ladies not having their own family. And I don't agree with them because I enjoyed it a lot. They think I am too young to be hooked with it. Do you know someone who knows how to crochet? Is she old enough?

Well, being a male person it would be awkward for me to crochet. It has been more of a lady thing. My mother does crochet. In fact she is very good at it. She can make a lot of things out of crochet. Before, she use to accept orders from people but now that she is quite old, she just do it for past time. If you do love crochet, then I think age does not matter. In fact, I think its better to start early. Perhaps later on, you can become an expert and even make such hobby and come up with a business.

I get amazed when I see people that are good in crafts. I never tried crocheting since it never taught in my elementary years. I envy my sister who knows a little crocheting since it was taught in their school. She once tried to teach it to me but I never learned it though. I found it hard to follow the pattern unlike cross stitch.

I love crocheting. My brothers always tease me about having an old fashion hobby. But I don't care, I love crocheting. My grandmother thought me how to do it and I am proud to say that I have made money from crocheting when I was younger. We have a crocheting class and my classmates , mostly guys who does not know how to crochet pays me to do their crocheting projects.

Interest should not be limited by ages, do just you like it... I like cross-stitch, and there are so many people with different ages like doing it also.

I know how to crochet, but it was not my favorite yarn hobby. I preferred cross stitching. I just couldn't handle holding the crochet hook properly. It just wasn;t fun to me.

I wish I had taken the time to learn that before. I was always interested in crocheting but it seemed that nobody was able to teach me. I just stared at my elementary teacher while she crocheted. She was a bit strict so I was kinda afraid to ask her. :)

Of course, I know about crocheting! :-) When I was a little kid, I would always see my mom sitting in a corner, nibbling with her threads and creating unique crochet patterns. She even had this book that contained a lot of beautiful stitch patterns which you could turn into pillowcases, sweaters, vests, or even table cloths. My mom was so hooked to stitching, it was an everyday hobby of hers. I never had the interest to adopt the habit though. I just loved to watch her do it. She was so fast and seemed to be doing it subconsciously and that was so amazing. :-)

I know how to crochet, and I love it - I just don't have much time for it nowadays. No, I don't think it's something for grannies. It can be enjoyed by the young ones, too. I even think it is a stress relieving activity. Never mind what others say. If it is your passion, go for it! Besides, such a hobby could turn into something profitable if you're really good at it!

I learned to crochet during summer school when I was in junior high. I really liked it and found it relaxing. In the evenings I would work on crocheting something while listening to the tv. After I got married and had my children though I stopped. Too hard to concentrate when there were crying babies or fighting children. Now most of my free time is spent in the internet trying to earn a little extra money, but I think croceting is something that can be enjoyed by anyone of any age.
