happy memory food

I am currently in the middle of a week long road trip with my parents and my son. As a child going on road trips with my parents I would eat Bugle brand corn chips and make "ice cream cones" out of them using that cheese that comes in a squirt can. As an adult I realize how unhealthy this snack is but I can't help having the bugles and can cheese on a road trip. Normaly, I eat very healthy so I'm not concerned about the heatlth aspects of doing this once a year. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar experiences. I guess this could also be considered comfort food in a way but it's not one I turn to for comfort...just happy childhood memories.

I know what you mean. I have some sinful pleasures that I indulge in on the rare occasion. One of my favorites is the canned whipped cream spurted straight into my mouth. My daughter has picked this up from me, too. heeheeheeeee (furby laugh) I don't think the odd indulgence is all that bad for us, like you say, as long as we eat healthy for the most part. I heard one fellow put the appropriate ratio as 70/30%. As long as 70% of what we eat is healthy, we'll be fine.

It would be much more fun if that 70/30 percent were reversed. :)
