Local Data Entry Jobs Alert
July 13, 2010 10:11pm CST
I just received an alert from mylot telling me of another way to earn for typing. It says it is program from one of their sponsors called Local Data Entry Jobs. It is only open to mylot users in the US. I clicked on the link provided and watched a clip of a local news story and then it switched to a sales pitch from some faceless woman telling me some big name companies would pay me to do something so simple and pay me alot of cash to do it. All I had to do was fill in my name (don't worry I didn't) yada, yada, yada and It would pull up all the local jobs in my area. It really took me to a site to do an offer (like on gpt sites) and then to this supposed site of jobs. When I clicked on one of the jobs it took me right back to the original page and the same thing again. It is a total scam. The "job" is to be an auction listing agent for big companies to list on ebay. I wonder if these companies know that someone is using their good name and reputation to scam people and why would mylot send me an alert about this? Don't they know it's also a scam? Sincerely in Christ, Leesa C. Eph.2:8,9

I did get this alert and I opened it up and read everything. As I was reading it I realized that I saw this before somewhere online. Turns out it is one of those crazy scams going around. I can't figure out why Mylot is sending notifications to us about something like that. I would think they would screen better for things like this.

Yep, I too got the alert. I immediately checked it out with the BBB and one of the sites was listed as an F with several complaints and the other wasn't listed at all. I knew it was a scam site when I scrolled to the bottom and they wanted me to pay. No one should be asking for money to do a job unless its something like a business you're making for yourself where you pay money for supplies to sell things. Data entry jobs and stuff shouldn't be asking for money.
