Have you ever complained in a restaurant, or a hotel?

I think its expected that services rendered by restaurants and hotels are not really what we expect. Sometimes its their services could be too slow, and not satisfactory. I always wanted to make a complain especially when I eat at restaurants that's not really good in their services, but I try to avoid cause it I am afraid that the waiter is going to do something with my food or anything like that.
What do you complain about when you complain about something? Do you tell the manager about it right away? How was the complain?

well yes, there are times when a bad service is enough. Even shouted in one. there are really just bad service out there. But i hate those popular places that dont care about customer satisfaction.

There's one place like that here in our area. Its a popular restaurant and a lot of people go there everyday. But I dont like the kind of service that they have especially with the service crew cause they dont have the initiative. So I never went there anymore and I told my friends not to go there anymore.

Yes i have complained. It was my birthday and i was giving a party to my friends. We were all enjoying the drinks and then i orderd for food and then what!!!! My friend found a cockroach in the food. I call the manager and showed him this. he apologised and ordered another plate of food for free and also gave a 10% discount in the bill.

We all want that. But sometimes I am hesitant to make a complain because of being paranoid that they waiter might put something on to my food that will make it dirty. I would want their services to improve but I think its better to make the complain and then leave the establishment.

I think u hit the point,restaurant is a pretty funning place to be a customer,coz u can not complain and grumble on the thing u are not satisfied with as be a customer at shopping mall,u are worried the waiter would fight u back with adding some "spice" in ur dishes.......
I have complained but quite modestly........
