They are working on a new album. Frusciante, however, is gone off to further his solo endeavors.

the new album will come to the stores in june 2011 as some sites says and the new lead guitar for RHCP is Josh Klinghoffer, who was RHCP backing guitar un the last shows of te world tour in 2007, he's a great frien of John Frusciante and worked together in a John's album called A Sphere in the Heart of Silence.
