I know that world's hottest pepper came from India. But I would like to say that our Siling Labuyo can compete with that from your place because our pepper if you take it in has this burning sensation in your mouth up to your stomach that you will sweat a lot with no end in sight. One foreigner once said of our Siling Labuyo: fire, fire, fire in the hole!!! . . .

No, dude I just looked it up. Ghost chili is 20 times hotter than that. siling labuyo is the Bird's eye chili, and the ghost chili is the Bhut Jolokia. Look at the chart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_scale

Yes, yes, you are right and now I agree that ghost chili is the hottest of them all. Thanks for the information and research that you did. But then there was a time it was also listed as the hottest chili in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records although it did not say exactly when it was recorded and recognized.

I don't know which pepper will be the hottest, but I think it will come from Mexico. As there are many spicy peppers in Mexico and they have the hottest pepper in the world. I love China

I'd never heard of it until now. Here's a link to a site I just found confirming that the ghost pepper is the world's hottest chili pepper. http://www.thescarms.com/hotstuff/pepperfacts.htm According to the website Guinness World Records has made it official that the Ghost chili is the hottest at over a million Scoville units. The habanero rates around 200,000-300,000 Scoville units. Check it out for yourself.
