how to make extra money from the internet for a college student ?

hi everyone
i'm new here, so i will really need your help
i'm a college student, you can say that i have enough cash for my life in college
but i want to make an extra money, you know, to buy something that i want
the problem is, i dont know how
all that i have is a laptop and an internet connection
what do you think i shoul do ?

I am a college student too, and I guess you will also be interested in Cloud Crowd as well. (Check my website in my profile if you are interested. Sorry that due to the policy of myLot, I cannot post the link here directly.)
Cloud Crowd is a facebook applicaiton that provide an online working platform. They provide simple task that you can finish on their platform, like editing or some simple data entry. You sometimes can find more difficult jobs like translation, but that is all up to you to choose.
The thing I love Cloud Crowd most is that they pay you every business day through paypal automatically. I guess as a college student, we both hate waiting your payment, right? What's more, as it is also free to join, if you just doubt if this is a scam site, just join and try doing some task and the payment you get the next day will be your best proof.
Just give it a try and I'm sure you will love this site as I do.

I'm not trying to knock cloud crowd because it does work for a lot of people but I personally make a lot of money on mturk. (Amazon mechanical turk) To me, its the best task site I have found.
sn_2818184, I find I am not able to get a lot of tasks and I actually had one rejected that told me to edit the grammar errors or what not, so I did and then they rejected it because they said it was too close to the original. I could understand if they had asked me to re-write it, but they didn't. I was so mad.

I agree with noodlesmommy that Amazon mechanical turk is the best crowdsourcing website. Unfortunately if you are not from the US or India like kevinphytagoras you can only use your earnings to buy some books from Amazon and you can't withdraw them into cash.
But I guess since kevinphytagoras is a college student maybe he can buy some textbooks in Amazon from his earnings to save some money. Be careful though because the shipping charge and also the customs can be high since your location is in Indonesia which is far from the US.

I am from Hong Kong in China. That makes me unable to join many great sites, including the Amazon Mturk that you have just mentioned. What makes it worst is that if I buy from Amazon, I need to pay the shipping cost as well, which can be sometimes as expensive as what I've earned.
If you are from US, I think you can go ahead to Mturk; but if you are not in US, up to now, I cannot find sites than Cloud Crowd already.

Oh hello I am barely going to start college and well welcome to mylot you are going to have lots of fun here on mylot.
Mylot is a great way to make money and you can post discussions and you can also make friends here.

Well, first and foremost, by being here, you're off to a great start! I never knew a site could be so much fun while making you money without even realizing it. I by no means am not trying to promote myself or get you to sign up for anything but I have a blog that I created not to long ago to help people just like you. My friends are always asking the same question about how they can make money. I am a college student and also a full time stay at home mommy, so I had to figure out a way to pull in some extra money. I do a lot of research, day in and day out, on sites that are supposed to pay and all that. Instead of making my friends go through all that hassle, I came up with my blog to help them bypass it all.
