Let us not assume that they will easily understand what we are trying to communicate with them. it is hard for a child to understand abstract words and long sentences can only distract their concentration. the younger your child is, the more you need to be simple, brief, concrete, direct, and specific. always remember that you and your child have a very different thinking pattern. they think, relate, and communicate differently to adults.
