Why do schoolager smoke?

peer pressure i think. they would look cool if they smoke one.

Right friend, may be they are all following the elder people and some of them may thinking that its a nothing but a style. But they don't know it will spoil their whole life and they will suffer a lot. PLEASE DON'T SMOKE

I started smoking when I was 13 and now nearly 25 years later I am still hooked. The reason why I started was basically out of teenage rebellion. From my early years it was drummed into me that I wasn't allowed to smoke because it was disgusting, so when I hit that rebellion stage like so many teenagers do I rebelled by smoking and not because I thought it was cool or because friends were doing it. Now here is the thing, if someone had explained to me back then why smoking was disgusting, what it does to you rather than just forbidding me to do it I probably wouldn't have started. And that is the key, educating younger people about the true facts of smoking from an early age before they start, rather than just forbidding it with out giving the solid reasons why.

coz thats the time when they all wanted to learn everything specially smoking and drinking and they took it thinking its just normal since they saw everyone smoking including one of their family perhaps. and for them it makes them feel they are already matured enough to smoke, and most of them do that in school as in school they are free to do everything as they cant do that being at home as of course their parents will not allowed them.

The fact that people start smoking from such a young age, it is rather depressing to think about a lot of the time. I mean, I never really got smoking to be honest with you. Some people did it to fit in. Perhaps to be cool. I never saw potentially contracting cancer to be cool but I guess that is in this season or something. Of course, a lot of the time, it is learned from their parents. This is sad, but unfortunately true. Then the parents wonder who influenced their children to do something like this. So they turn around and blame everyone else. When in reality, the real blame is something that you see in the mirror each and every day. It can be quite depressing to realize that a lot of school age children smoke because they saw their parents doing it.
