Hello to my fellow Mylotters, Thank you so much for you wonderful responses to my discussion. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of responses and I know the feeling. By the way I am going to update you next week because I am going to see my mom again so I will know if ever she was able to find a buyer or she changed her mind. Anyway I also posted a discussion about a friend who adopted a boy when he was just a few days old. I got the boy from a friend who got it from a midwife and we don't know where the boy came from. We were asked to pay a few thousand pesos to cover the cost of the mothers various expenses. Now the boy is going to celebrate his 7th birthday this coming July 22nd as well as his adoptive mother. At that time we didn't think of the money we shelled out but the joy of having a child to nurture and to love.

Is that legal? Selling babies? You get commissions from selling babies? I'm speechless.

I think you misunderstood what I said. When my friend adopted her baby the friend who got the baby asked me if my friend still wants to adopt and I said yes. This friend of mine asked us whether we can shell out a small cash to pay some of the hospital bills that the mother incurred. How can you say that I get commissions for this? Selling babies is illegal but there are a lot of ways to get babies from my country. Like I said a lot of "unwed young people" here cannot even afford to feed their newborn babies hence this kind of procedure.
