Hi, I've been approached by people before who invited me to join their company in order to sell water ionizing machines. They claim that ionizing water reduces the acidity in the water, which in turn provides health benefits. Before I even consider this, I was curious to find out if anyone out there has actually experienced health benefits from drinking ionized water? Also, is there a reliable, unbiased source of information about this which you'd recommend? Thanks.

What do you mean by ionized water? How does it work, I mean how does the machine work? Is it like added some ion to water or the machine clean all ions from water? I think non ion water is give many benefits for our health, especially in our kidney. Water purifier could remove ion or mineral from water so water just contain pure H2O. Actually, our body don't need any ion and mineral from water. Our body get mineral from the foods, especially vegetables and fruits. Main function of water is for irrigation and bring the waste out from our body via kidney. That's why pure water is very good for our kidney.

Hi de_toya, Sorry for the late response. It was my understanding that these ionization machines are hooked up to the faucet and it uses a process called electrolysis to separate the tap water into acidic and alkaline water. Each type of water is supposed to have its use. Acidic water can be used for sanitizing utensils or washing fruits and vegetables, while alkaline water can be consumed because it supposedly acts like an anti-oxidant to clean the body of cancer causing agents.
