Why are people so afraid of rejection, especially GUYS?!

it's the matter of pride. each human being have their own pride. rejection mostly interpreted as pushing them away. so when got rejected, most men/women will tend to get upset due to the feelings of pushed away of their intention to get closer towards the person they like.

Admit it. Girls are afraid of rejection too. We just don't court any guy that's why it's tested in job-hunting, asking someone for help, etc. Guys are human, too. They get hurt. Hurt comes with rejection. So who in their right mind would want to risk getting hurt? I say if a girl likes a guy, give him hints so that he won't be so afraid to make a move.

Well its extreme possession not to loose the loved ones.

Man and women we all are afraid of rejection,because man are logical creatures where as women are emotional creatures.while men need to prove human need to understand.

Guys are born with small hearts and big ego. Girl are born with big hearts and small ego, but why is that a guy with small heart has to propose a girl and a girl with big heart always gives a fear of rejection. People agree that it should always be a guy to move first but if we talk about love then it really doesn't matter who approaches first. We say there is no difference between a girl and a guy, so girls please use this saying in this case as well. Go and ask if you like someone or give hints of liking someone.

I am a kind of girl who is afraid of being rejected but I am kinda used to it already. Not that I ask guys out but there are some concerns i have that are left unattended. I dont expect anymore and I dont want to share my problems anymore cause I am afraid of being rejected in a way that I am left alone. Its sad to think that I do have a companion but I fell so alone and lonely sometimes. That's why I am afraid and I sometimes have that feeling of insecurity.

Why ask a girl out if she lack maturity? Matured guys do not bother talking to youngsters.

Rejection is a feeling that you can't forget it for the rest of your life. It hinders you to grow and it puts you down. That's why sometimes men don't like to ask for a date because they don't want to feel rejected. Not only men but also women. Women are just more vocal to men. Women can easily express what they feel even they are hurt. So the feeling of rejection is more on MEN! There are men who say that they did not have the first move to court but it's the girl who courted the guy. Yes maybe that's true because girls are more expressive to tell their feelings if the men are not doing anything. And men grab this chance because they know that they will not be anymore rejected.

That's nomal. Because we are human, no matter girls or guys, if he or she was rejected by someone, he/she will feel loss of respect. So before he/she asked somebody out, they worried about the result. Does she like me? What can i do if she turns me down?

Guys are so afraid of rejection because what guys can do,girl can too do.If a guy had a habit of smoking and drinking than they might feel hesitate and think that they might reject if he happen to be near a girl.More over guys will be very ego and think that they are only one.

They are prouder then the womans. When they ask a woman to go out with them, they are intimidated by the woman, and they are a bit scared of the rejection. They feel their pride hurt, when they are rejected.
