Natural disasters--such as flood, hurricane or blizzard-- often come without warning. Stocking non-perishable items ahead of time (and choosing wisely what you include) will help you weather the storm with less stress. As we all know fueling you body during an emergency is very different from your everyday diet. Because you'll probably expend more energy than you normally would, you should eat high energy, high protein foods. And because you have a limited supply, the higher-quality foods you eat--and the less of them-- the better.. What do you think are the top foods to be keep in an emergency situation?

Canned goods, because they stay good for a long while, so you don't need to be constantly restocking. And lots of water, of course. Besides that, you can add pretty much whatever you like, such as rice and pasta maybe, because they don't go bad that quickly either.

The best foods to stock are canned foods, legumes, noodles bread and dried fish. Also wheat and flour are good to stock with, those foods really lasts for long time and no preservatives too.

I think foods that won't get spoiled easily are the best things to keep. Foods like biscuits, energy bars, canned goods are a must. Only that if kept and you don't notice that these goods are expired well good luck to your stomach.
