(If you have to choose:) a guy who drinks a lot or a guy who smokes a lot?

Someone asked me this question and I found it hard to answer because I don't like guys who drink and smoke a lot. If they can't avoid it, they should do that in moderation. But guys are guys. Most (if not all) of them drink and a lot of them smoke. If you REALLY have to choose, who would you prefer?

Its very difficult to choose both as both are the medicine that makes the life of a person shorter.Even than if i have to choose the right person, then i would prefer the person who don't drink and smoke. And also to be happy in life it counts only the long life of the person, not the shorter.

It's not easy to find someone who doesn't drink AND smoke. But I do agree with you that smoking and drinking shortens one's life.

These are both difficult choices to make sometimes. Choosing a smoker can lead to something life threatening for your both. Choosing a drinker could lead to a life of self destruction. If you choose a drinker, you have to worry about his life and everyone he comes in contact with. If i absolutely had to choose, i would choose the smoker. Perhaps I could find a way to help him kick his habit. A smoker wouldn't be drunk and do things that cannot be repaired.

You have a very good point there. I hope we'll all be able to find ways to help guys 'kick' their habits, as you said.

If I really have to choose one than I would prefer smoking then drinker because smokers know what they are doing but drinkers once they were drunk they do thing which which never is very bad and they can also smoke after they are drink. Smoker will not drink after smoking.

I may give you the same answer but even then to choose I will prefer a guy who drink because I used to take the drinks. Since I don't smoke I can't adjust with the smokers.

I would choose a smoker. I wouldn't want to see my husband hurt himself by drinking too much and it would definiately hurt me if i saw him change everytime he brought that bottle towards his lips. Even though smoking has long term effects and it smells really bad; I would rather deal with that with him no matter what. BUT I'm so happy that it's not actually happening and I don't have to choose!

I hate both because, the guy who drink will give me pressure for lifetime. With the smoker i cant stay because passive smoker is more dangerous than smoking and it might cause cancer. Both are effective to our health.
