Have you ever lied in a haunted house?

Ok so I know there are people out there that don't believe in ghosts, etc but there are also those that do believe & I happen to be one of the believers. The apartment that my parents lived in when I was born was haunted....things used to move around on my mom's dressing table in the dark...my mom used to get woken up by something cold touching her & at that same split second, I used to wake up screaming (I was a baby). My mom also told me that once while she was watching tv, a little old man popped his head around the corner & looked at my mom...there was no one else in the apartment as my dad was away at sea at the time (he was in the navy)... Of course, I can't remember any of this as we moved from the apartment when I was 19 months old. Have you ever lived in a haunted house? What happened to make you think it was haunted?

i never did but i was in front of a so called haunted house one day, just for fun and to prove it was just a rumor and after 15 minutes or sort of a girl appear in the window i couldn't walk after that, i was really shocked she could be alive of course, but she surely seemed purple to me

That is pretty strange - if she was purple, I don't think she was a real person so to speak.

Hi, moonchild1au. Wow! This is very scary! I have lived in a trailer three years ago. And I used to be on the computer in the computer room. I felt like someone was watching me. I have even heard raspy breathing too. I also was very frightened. And another time, I used to live in a brick house. I heard walking but it sounded like it was coming from my roof. Now I know good and well that this was not a bird or another animal that was making this noise. It sounded just like footsteps of a person that was walking. My kids and I would hear it all of the time. We had an attic that was in the ceiling. I know for a fact that that was where I heard the noise coming from. I am very sure of it. It was so eerie to have to witness this. One time, I also saw a black shadow that was looking through my front room window. My husband said that it was a cat. But it did not look like a cat. The shape of the body was bigger than a cat's body. Our next door neighbor's was outside that day. The man was playing basketball with his son in the yard. I don't know what made this figure peer through my window. We had blinds to our window that was closed and as soon as the figure saw me, it moved away. I don't know what was up with this house, but it sure did spook me out! I was so glad to move from this house. Many people have lived here and it was very creepy. I could not stand being alone at night in this house when my husband was gone. I am so glad that I had my three kids to keep my company.

Now that is spooky!! I am glad that I am too young to remember what happened in the apartment we lived in when I was a baby.

Your story is scary as well as the other responses here too. I don't really have a first-hand experience with the other entities, but I have heard a lot from friends and relatives. I'm sure there are some occasions that I would experience shadows passing or sounds, but I don't associate those with ghostly experience right away. I would sometimes say that those are just imaginations and after a while I totally forget about them.

That is definitely a logical way of loo things, I wish I could think the way you do & just maybe I wouldn't get as spooked sometimes lol.

I have never lived in a house that was haunted. I personally haven't seen any supernatural being or occurence. I guess my third eye is closed. However, my best friend and my brother-in-law both live with us and their third eyes are very open. They have never mentioned noticing anything supernatural in our house. I have slept in a motel that was considered haunted. It was one of the few inns in the hometown of my friend. I went there to attend her boyfriend's father's wake. It was so eerie. I slept there with my best friend and she said that a lot of ghosts were roaming the property. One even reached out to her and tried to tell her something. I never asked if she saw someone in our room. I didn't want to know! But I think she did. Because she was jumpy and a few times she seemed to be surprised by something or someone.

That DOES sound spooky! I don't think I'd want to know either! I do know that when I am walking through a cemetary, I can walk these weird paths avoiding the unmarked graves as people don't like you standing on them - even when they are 6ft under!

Well in another apartament that I lived in it was freaky, I head someone sleeping in a room that I almost never got in, the person was snoring, it was after midnight. It was sick. But my most terrible experience was to doubt of the rumours of a haunted house and go to sit in front of it alone. In about 10 minutes I was laughing, but in 15 a girl in white pijamas just appear in the window looking directly at me like she already knew I was there, I think she saw me through the wall too. It was very scarrying, my legs was shaking after that for a few minutes, I couldn't walk lol. Pretty exciting! I love feeling fear, from time to time.

That IS spooky I do agree, it can be a bit of an adrenalin rush but at the same time freaky too. There is a cemetary n Rockhampton (10hrs drive north of Brisbane in Queensland) where a little Chinese man sits on his head stone at the same time every night....I saw him once when I was at university!
