myLot gives us mutual satisfaction and benefit

Mylotting should be a mutually beneficial activity. Well, it is possible for us to be generous or selfish in myLot. To be generous means we are actively posting new discussion topics as well as actively giving responses to topics of discussion posted by friends. I think it would be very unfair if I just post and never respond. What do you think?

Yes savypat Better is If we use all options, but some people do only what they are interested in. Some better prefer only post discussions, some only respond to them etc. I usually respond to the discussions and post them, but rarely I comment to them. I like to do all from every field.

I admit I prefer to respond than post but it does depend on the day! I do attempt to reasonably do both to be fair. I think it is a matter of choice as to what one prefers to do although I do think that if one starts a discussion it is courteous to comment to the responses received but, again, it is a matter of choice; it makes sense to comment back otherwise not only we will not earn anything but our post will not be a discussion at all!

When we all work together, the site becomes what is now. If everyone decided just to post discussions, and not comment back or even respond to other discussions, then they really aren't doing all that much. Discussions are discussions, when others take the time to respond to them or comment. That is what mylot is all about is discussing. I have seen discussions out there where users will respond, but there are no comments by the ones who started them. To me, that isn't a very good discussion, because all you have are people responding but the starter won't go in and comment back to keep it going. On the other hand, I have seen a lot of discussions, that have been very good discussions as they have been responded to and commented on, and they have kept going. That is what makes a discussion a discussion. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
