Comparing girlfriends to your mother?

Guys out there, Have you ever told your girlfriends that "SHE" reminds you of your mother?
A friend just freaked out after her bf told her that she reminds him of his mother. Her BF told her that after she told him not to get drunk too much. The exact phrase is that" You are like my mother; You reminds me of her"
GIRLS out there? Would you react the same way?

aww depends how he said that. he just said that to your friend bcs she warned him like mum's do. anyway no reason for her to be upset. but yes that happens sometimes^^ the worst is you remind me of my ex that would be much worse and i would kill my bf when i have one if he said something like that. the mum is not really the worse the ex is much worse :(

i feel that there should be no comparison between the mother and girlfriend/wife. they both should be imp for guys. and he should treat both of them equally.
i dont like my husband sometimes,as he will disappoint me by comparing his mother as good in doing some things ,than me.

Hi Bluerain!
Honestly it frightens me off to be compared with someone else. And each of my four children does not like to be compared with one another either. As such I don't think it will work in the long run for any relationship to blossom.

i have never compared my wife with my wife with my mother. I know they are good at their capabalities. They had their own problems at their times and both have managed to handle them well. I teel everyone that i have 2 beautiful angels in my life.
