Would you like your vacation to be rainy?

June is the start of rainy season in the Philippines, and so does school. Unlike other countries, we only have two seasons in the Philippines, dry and wet. Our so called summer starts at March (pretty close to June, right?). The -ber months are sometimes unpredictable. But for sure from November to February, it's going to be usually chilly due to the cold front. Well, until the "people-produced" climate change. Last year, there were politicians in my country who are proposing to adapt the same school year as other countries. This means that we have to start our school year on September instead of June. This also means that we have to spend our summer vacation during the rainy season. Do you think that's right? Personally, I don't. Summer is the fun time for students like my kids. It's the time when we could go and enjoy the beach. Do you think it's right to move our school year just to avoid suspension of classes due to stormy weathers? Other countries have snowy weathers wherein classes where suspended but they never considered moving their school year, right?
