Has anyone in India get a google adsense recently?

I thought getting google adsense is easy!! How wrong i was! I just wrote an article in revenue-sharing website named Xomba..and gave that website name- but, it got rejected. When i checked, i have heard many people say that if you are applying for adsense from india, then, you need to have an own website which is atleast 6 months old and you got to write "valuable content" consistently.. Is there anyone out there who knows the truth of the matter? thanks !
