I have this great little book I picked up at a yard sale a few suns ago -- The Conversation Piece: Creative Questions to Tickle the Mind, by Bret Nicholaus and Paul Lowrie. For conversation purposes, I plan to share some of my favorite questions from the book in the coming days. I hope you'll share your answers to the question, as I feel it's a great way to get to know more about each other, as well as about ourselves. Today's Question (130): "If you could have your picture taken with any living person in the world today, with whom would you choose to be photographed?" My Answer: My friend Karen from Kansas. This was an easy question for me, for I would absolutely love to meet this friend face-to-face. We've known each other online for years, we have shared our daily lives via the net and the telephone. To add the element of meeting each other offline would be an additional treasure. I find this is also a question that the answer to may change as time goes by.

Oh, this one's easy for me! I would absolutely love to have my picture taken with famous theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking - he's my current hero of all time. Nearly totally paralyzed except for his eyes, he communicates using a computer voice since he can no longer talk with his own voice. And yet he is a brilliant scientist, arguably the greatest physicist of our time.

Gary, your answer to this this question doesn't surprise me at all! And you know, I don't know anyone more worthy of meeting Stephen Hawking than you. It's a dream I surely wish would come true for you. You know me, I don't have much of a brain for science, but I even enJOY Mr. Hawking and applaud him as a man, as well as a man of science.

hey...I'm from Kansas too! This is a tough question. I don't like to have my photo taken at all. But, I do enjoy family so much, so those photos I have to handle. If it were a celebrity..hhmmm.....Richard Gere? John Travolta? Nicholas Cage? Marsha

Nicholas Cage is very much alive! And if you get your photo taken with him, I am going to be very envious of you, Marsha! I didn't know you're in Kansas too! I wonder if you're anywhere near Karen? Oh, I'm with you on the photo thing... I very, very, rarely allow a photo of me!
