Will there be a sequel to the series of horror films; Child's Play? (Chucky)

I'm a fan of Child's Play (a.k.a Chucky The Killer Doll), and I would like to know if anybody knows will there be a sequel or a new release to the series. The last movie that came out for the movie series was "Seed Of Chucky." It was said that there will be a remake of the very first film of the series (Child's Play) but I don't know if that true or not. Anybody can help me out here? Is it true that there will be a remake?

I don't think so. There were talks of a remake, but I since think that's been scrapped. I think it's for the better honestly. Personally, I only really enjoy the first two. I wasn't crazy about the third and the fourth and fifth films turned the series into more of a comedy than a horror film which I didn't really like at all. I think it's probably best left alone now.

That's the same feed back the directors got, that's why I heard they we're planning to make a remake of the first but much scarier. I don't know what's wrong with comedy lol but I guess blood and gore is what the people demands :/

I thought I was the only crazy one out there who couldn't get enough of Chucky! I must say tho, I enjoyed the first 3 so much better than the last 2. It could be that Child's Play has run its course and would be best left as late night reruns. There's nothing wrong with humor, but not sure it mixes well with horror. Can they make Child's Play any scarier in a remake? The first one scared the bejeezus out of me! And I loved every minute!

The ending of the seed of chucky left us thinking that there would be another one made but years later, there still hasn't been one made so who knows. There are alot of 80'smovies being re-made now so who knows what movie they will re-make next.

Well there already is 5 movies in the series. They are as followed: Childs Play, Childs Play 2. Childs Play 3, Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. I dont really know if they are going to make any new ones since there isnt really much else to do. I prefer the three original anyways than the two they did after. i havent heard of a remake..really hope that never happens anyways.
