An old cd with some very sad songs...

I have borrowed a cd from my father and the songs are originally from the 30s, the 40s and the 50s. Most of the songs are very, very sad. One of the songs is about a child whose mother died a while ago. The child wants to call heaven and ask them to send her mother back, because she misses her so much. I often cry when I hear that song, because it is so sad. Another song is about a dying child who is at hospital. She keeps asking her doctor when she will be able to go home, and he keeps saying: "Later, later" Last time she asks, the doctor doesn't answer, he just turns his face away and wipes away the tears. What is oldest music that you have in your home? Do you like sad songs? Or do you prefer happy songs?
