Making money from surveys, a real cash cow, or a dead duck?

July 27, 2010 4:20pm CST
I've read so many web posts about earning money from completing surveys. Some people claim to earn massive amounts of cash just for a couple of hours work per day. To prove if a living can be made, I intend to sign-up to every paid-for (cash or vouchers) survey site on the net. I then intend to complete every survey that drops into my inbox over the next year. I will be posting my findings here on a regular basis, just so you can see the REAL truth. Will I become a £3,000 per month earner?, or will I struggle to reach £100/month ?. I will be working no more than 8 hours a day on this, so I will not dedicate more time to the project than I would to a day-job.

Let us be realistic about anyone supposedly making massive loads of cash form the interenet. I am sure there are a few exceptions, however we do not hear about those stories too often. I for one have been using a great survey site which is a a very professional and legit site. There is no such truth that you will make loads and loads of money from surveys. Think about it surveys are constructed with the intent to find out what products are hot and which ones are not. The marketing researchers send these surveys to survey companies targeting specific demographics which means a person will not always qualify for all surveys as they are not looking for the same person for every survey. I have a great survey company and proof of payments on my myLot profile and have been very happy with them thusfar. I do not always qualify for surveys but I get my share and I pick which ones I want to participate with and which I do not, providing I qualify for them of course. There are so many scamming survey companies promising to assure you loads of money and well unfortunately people fall for this and well the companies get richer off the membership fees!

I am only getting surveys from one site, and I don't get all that many either, but each survey is worth $3 and I have been able to complete every survey they send me in email. Most of the survey companies will send emails for surveys to be done, but I am never qualified for any of them, which is also frustrating. It is hard to make a lot from surveys as you won't get all that many per week, or even in a month. There will be dry times so you will have to be aware of that. I will just stick with the one survey company I am a member of, since I do get paid. I just don't trust the rest of them at all. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Well, so far I've made £3 from Valued Opinions, gained 20,000 Tuluna points, 750 IPSOS points, 600 MyTNS points (can be converted into Amazon vouchers), £2 from Harris and 500 points from Opinionworld. I have also now signed-up for Clearvoice. At the end of the day, whatever I make from surveys will come in handy. Being on unemployment benefit in the UK is no joke, especially when you have to muppets running the country.
