how much addicted are you? I think it's okay as long as you still do the things you should be doing. Also as long as you are still "living" in the real world and not neglecting things and everyone else. But too much would always be bad. I'm 23 and I am addicted to playing online games. I play like more than 10 hours. Well I am unemployed right now so I have all the time. But I never forget to do chores/errands.

actually i'm a mother of two kids...i play just three hours at night when the children are sleeping...i play online to relax my self from the whole day stress of doing the household chores and taking care of my children....

I know one incident that happened somewhere here in Asia but I am not going to mention what the country is. This story was just relayed to me by my student and its actually about a mother who got addicted to computer games that she didnt have time to take care for her kids anymore. What happened was that the older child got so mad at her that he killed her mon for being addicted to playing computer games.

I would say it's ok just as long as you still find time with your other responsibilities. I think playing online games my also be part of giving time with your sons or daughters or any other family members. I have friends who play online games with their whole family.. they say it's part of their bonding time together.

lets say that there was no online game. What else can that old lady do all the time, most probably she will sleep and eat. This is going to create people fall sick. But if the old lady is addicted to online game, she can at least learn some thing a day. Time can be passed, more knowledge can be gained. Online games are the ever best ways to pass time, when you feel lonely.

Addiction is not an age thing in my opinion. It does seem a bit awkward for a 30 year woman to be addicted to an online game compared to a teen male.
Saying so, it wouldn't change much the way I look at that person.
